Hamas terror plot: Israel security force says militants wanted to kidnap and blow things up

Israel's internal security service Shin Bet says it has foiled a Hamas terror plot that included carrying out a series of attacks in Jerusalem.

Shin Bet says it has arrested more than 30 militants who were trained abroad before being smuggled back into Israel. The service also said it recovered weapons and explosives.

Shin Bet added that the militants took orders from leaders in Turkey and planned to kidnap Israelis, while attacks were planned on the Teddy Football Stadium and light rail system in Jerusalem.

BBC reports that over the past month, 11 Israelis have been killed by Palestinians, including four rabbis and a policeman. Twelve Palestinians have also been killed, including several who were responsible for carrying out attacks.
