Karmic payback: Hit and run driver ends up sharing a hospital room with his victims

On the eastern coast of China in the province of Jiangsu, a man and his girlfriend were sent to hospital after a crash with a hit and run motorist.
The hit and run driver, identified only by his last name Qu, was riding a scooter after a night of drinking with friends. He crashed head on with a couple and then while the couple lay unconscious on the ground he left.
The boyfriend was the first to regain consciousness and called police. He and his girlfriend were both checked into the hospital with serious injuries.
Little did they know that the man they were sharing their hospital room with was Mr. Qu, the same man who’d hit them! After leaving them unconscious in the road, Mr. Qu had started to head for home, but the pain from his injuries made him go to a hospital.
What were the chances they’d end up together for the police interview?
