Drunk idiot falls into garbage truck and is crushed, hospitalized with coma

Last week, late at night, a 25 year old man fell into a garbage truck and was injured by the compacting mechanism. He is currently in a coma.
The young man and his two friends had been drinking and were walking home when they saw a garbage truck parked on the side of the road. The young man decided to climb onto the back of the truck.
It wasn’t until his two equally drunk friends noticed he wasn’t there that they saw his legs sticking out from the garbage truck, his body crumpled beneath the compacting mechanism.
They contacted emergency services immediately and the young man was hospitalized for a crushed skull, injured spine, and is now in a coma. The operator of the vehicle had left it running while he collected garbage from the curb on the other side of the truck.
