An out-of-control student at JFK High in Paterson, New Jersey slammed his 62-year-old teacher to the ground last week as other students stood around and watched. The 16-year-old student was upset because the teacher took away his cellphone.

Students are allowed to use cellphones for academic purposes but that wasn’t the case here. The aggressive student flipped out when the teacher confiscated his cellphone from another student.

Unable to wait until after class to recover his phone, the student wrapped up the teacher and demanded it back. The student then pushed him into a desk and dropped the instructor to the floor before wrestling his precious phone away from the teacher’s grasp.

One classmate tried to calm the aggressor but most of the students cowered away from the action hoping to get a better camera angle for the video that would later be uploaded to YouTube. One student can be heard in the video yelling for security.

The student has been charged with third-degree aggravated assault.

If the Knights can’t defend a 62-year-old teacher, these cowards don’t stand a chance against their Eastside rivals, the Ghosts.
