Embarrassing plane accident: Delta pilot accidentally locks himself out of cockpit

A Delta airline flight from Minnesota to Las Vegas had quite the scare when the pilot became locked out of the cockpit after taking a bathroom break just before landing.

Curry Russell, a passenger on the plane shot cell phone video of the pilot explaining the crisis to the cabin.

The 168 passengers aboard were shocked when the captain explained the situation.

The first officer was able to safely land the plane in an emergency landing in Las Vegas.

But, because the first officer's seat doesn't allow access to the plane's taxi controls the aircraft had to be towed from the runway to the gate. No passengers or crew aboard were injured.
