Teenage gangs: Gang leader just 18 years old, arrested on multiple felonies

Police in Yunlin county, located in western Taiwan, arrested a gang of teenagers for dealing drugs, assault, rape, and property damage.

The group was lead by an 18 year old gang boss named Liu Langyu. Liu dropped out of high school three years ago and formed his gang of 20 or so teenagers, the eldest being only 19-years-old.

The gang earned their money by selling ketamine and often attacked anyone who got in their way. The gang was also known for smashing up stores which refused to pay protection money to a group of unshaven punks.

Last year several of the gang members were implicated in the rape of a 17-year-old high school student, whom they allegedly drugged and gang raped.

Of the 23 teenagers arrested with gang boss Liu, two of them were still minors.
