A recently donated goblin shark specimen will go on show at the Australian Museum in Sydney. It comes by way of Michael McMaster of the Merimbula Aquarium in New South Wales, having been caught in January by fisherman in Green Cape off the NSW southern coast.

The deep-water goblin shark is rarely seen. The pink, in parts almost translucent, fish is considered a "living fossil" as it is the only extant member of a prehistoric family of sharks, the Mitsukurinidae, that stretches back 125 million years, Storyful writes.
