Thailand lady man: Monk touched boobs but it's okay because she's a ladyboy
A Cambodian monk who got into trouble after he was snapped touching the chest of a an apparent female worshipper is now in the clear after it was revealed the 'woman' he touched was born a man.
The elderly monk reportedly led a private blessing at the worshipper's home in Bangkok recently during which the offending photo was taken and later posted to Facebook.
The photo led to an online backlash, as monks are not allowed to be alone with women, let alone touch them intimately.
Before the person in the photo came forward and said that it was OK, because he was born a man and only had breasts because he had been undergoing hormone replacement therapy as part of a gender reassignment process.
She defended the monk on local TV, but even that wasn't enough for many conservative Thais, who still lambasted the monk's actions as inappropriate.
