Inside The Americas- Girl’s Letters

In-depth reports and analysis from our extensive network of correspondents throughout the region on the most important developments in Latin America. The stories of girls are shared through the program Girl’s Letters, organized by Catholic Relief Services, Plan International and the Scalabrini Mission in Ecuador. Many of the girls come from families fleeing the armed conflict in Colombia. The girls reflect on their experiences, hope and problems, and then put all that into a letter to an authority. Then they dream about what they want to do when they reach adulthood and paint their dreams. In this way the girls learn how to express themselves. teleSUR
