7th ART OF WONG FEI-HUNG

“Le 7ème Art de Wong Fei-hung (7th Art of Wong Fei-hung)“ is a short documentary (26 minutes) directed by Frederic Ambroisine about the legendary Chinese hero Wong Fei-hung / 黃飛鴻and the movies made about him from the 50’s (with Kwan Tak-hing / 關德興) to the 90’s (with Jet Li / 李連杰). This documentary contains interviews of actress and producer Colette Koo / 顧嘉玲 (“Women Prison /女子監獄”, “Wushu”), director and choregrapher Antony Szeto / 司徒永華 (“Dragon Blade / 龍刀奇緣”, “Wushu”, “King Naresuan”), action director Tony Leung Siu-heung / 梁小熊) (“Iron Angels / 天使行動”, “My Heart is that Eternal Rose / 殺手蝴蝶夢”...) and film historians Law Kar / 羅卡, Bede Cheng / 鄭子宏and Roger Garcia. This documentary is available since July 4th, 2006 in the French 3DVD Box-set “Wong Fei-Hung par Liu Chia-Liang” which includes two Shaw Brothers movies about Wong Fei-hung directed by Liu Chia-liang / 劉家良and starring Gordon Liu / 劉家輝 : “Challenge of the Masters / 陸阿采與黃飛鴻” (1976) and “Martial Club / 武館” (1981). www.fredambroisine.com
