Listening to his voice, you may think of a female singer from long ago. Billie Holiday, Janis Joplin and Bob Dylan are all in there, they add up to his original sound. Asaf Avidan launched a career on the back of heartache leading to his critically acclaimed record "Different Pulses".
His "One Day/Reckoning Song" began buzzing in 2011 after a German DJ gave it a remix, counting more than 150 million YouTube views. His second solo album is called "Gold Shadow". He speaks to Eve Jackson about love, fame and playing for Sean Penn.
