Dil Dil Pakistan: Simon Thacker guitar, Sarvar Sabri tabla

Pioneering Scottish classical guitarist Simon Thacker toured Pakistan in early 2015, with tabla master Sarvar Sabri, and was asked to reimagine a Pakistani song in solidarity with the victims of the Peshawar school atrocity. Simon reworked Dil Dil Pakistan, Pakistan's "2nd national anthem", transforming it for classical guitar and tabla. The duo performed it on PTV, Aaj TV, ARY TV and state radio, as well as in 7 concert performances.. This studio recording was made at Slate Room Studios in Scotland soon after the tour.
