Rio 2007 Pan Am Games OC - Copacabana Beach (Ceu - ''Wave'')

After the nature and wildlife segment, a representation of the water wich surrounds the city of Rio de Janeiro was made. With the Tom Jobim musical piece "Águas de março", the water was transformed into a giant Copacabana beach. Actors dressed as swimmers performed on the scene, while brazilian singer Ceu performed ''Wave'', posibly the best know song on the Bossa Nova genre.

This segment was a tribute to the beach-life of Rio, as well for the Bossa Nova music genre which was born on Brazil.
