Japanese anime director Shinji Aramaki (Appleseed) helms this CG-animated space-set action-adventure based on the popular '70s manga and cartoon series by veteran Japanese artist Leiji Matsumoto (Space Battleship Yamato, Interstella 5555).
Originally released in Japan in 2013, but only now getting a stateside release this month, "Harlock: Space Pirate" follows "Space Pirate Captain Harlock," an intergalactic outlaw commander who leads his crew into a battle to save planet Earth.
"Harlock: Space Pirate" will then be made available on Digital HD and DVD at the end of the month, on March 31st.
