White House letter tested postive for cyanide: Secret Service

The U.S. Secret Service has reportedly confirmed that a suspicious letter sent to the White House has tested positive for cyanide.
Secret Service Spokesman Brian Leary shed light on the incident in a statement on CNN.
He said the letter was received on Monday with initial screenings turning up negative.
However, further tests did show evidence that letter may have been lined with the toxic compound.
Fortunately, no injures were reported..
The letter in question didn't make it past the mail-sorting facility... and no was was considered at risk for exposure.
The statement was released just hours before the head of the Secret Service came under fire for a series of embarrassing security lapses.
In the latest incident, Director Joseph Clancy admitted to Congress that two of his senior agents drove into the White House barricades after a night of heavy drinking.
