This is Adam from Deland Kia. Today I’m going to show you the brand new 2015 KIA Optima SXL Turbo. 274 horsepower. One unique thing with this product is the motor mount that holds the engine up. This motor mount is what they called gel-filled. The advantage of that is that it absorbs all that vibration from the engine to the rest of the vehicle, creating a much smoother ride. Another advantage to this motor mount is that it’s a break away motor mount meaning that in the event of a collision it drops the engine below the vehicle instead of pushing all this inside towards the driver and passenger, huge safety feature.
The 2015 KIA Optima SXL is considered your full size sedan. It’s got Napa leather interior, fits 5 comfortably; it’s got a heated steering wheel, Infinity sound system, blind spot detection. Let me show you some of those technology features. Now I’d like to start with some of the comfort features. The vehicle comes with eight way power adjustable seats along with lumbar support for your back. The seats are ventilated and heated for the driver and passenger and heated seats for the passengers in the back.
The 2015 KIA Optima SXL has two driving modes – 1, economy which gets you the best fuel efficiency and 2, Sport mode which really gets that Turbo feel in the Optima. Now with the navigation feature it gives you a few options. You can search for locations via points of interest or you can search for locations via emergency. With the e-services, if you were to get into an accident, the vehicle calls 911 for you as long as an airbag was deployed. The 2015 KIA Optima has a lot of standard technology but one of the biggest upgrades is the blind spot detection. This feature actually warns you when someone is coming up in your blind spot. If you have your blinker on and someone comes into your blind spot it actually chimes over the vehicle to warn you not to change lanes.
