US millionaire is charged with murder after a live microphone picks up his apparent confession

US millionaire Robert Durst has been charged with murder after being accidently recorded apparently confessing to three killings.
Seventy-one-year-old Durst has been accused of shooting his friend Susan Berman, but he has also long been suspected of the deaths of his wife who is missing and that of a man in Texas.
His lawyer Dick DeGuerin is confident he will be proved innocent:
“Bob Durst didn’t kill Susan Berman, he’s ready to end all the rumor and speculation and have a trial. But we’re frustrated because local authorities are considering filing charges on him here and holding him here. We’re ready to go to California and to have a trial.”
Back in 2003 Durst was surprisingly acquitted of the murder of neighbour who he claimed he’d killed in self-defence but later dismembered to dispose of the body. His explanation was that he had panicked. The court believed him.
His wife Kathleen McCormack went missing in 1982 and is presumed dead.
