Bolivia: Morales lowers gas tax, exempts Chaco war vets from payments

On Wednesday, the President of Bolivia, Evo Morales, announced a reduction in the tax on household gas in the department of Tarifa. The reduction makes the tax equal to that in the rest of the country. Morales also announced a new law that would make veterans of the Chaco War exempt from payment of basic services like electricity, gas and water. teleSUR.
