About a year ago, they were strangers, but McIntyre had heard about 25-year-old Robinson. As a teen, Robinson was diagnosed with an inflammatory kidney disease. While undergoing dialysis three nights a week and waiting for a transplant, he was also working full-time as an electrician.
McIntyre knew he desperately needed a kidney, so she chose to donate hers on her 25th birthday. At the time of that decision, McIntyre only knew she was doing a good deed and had no idea that he would later give her something as well...his heart.
