Just then, right before Megaman was about ready to deliver the final blow to Dr. Cossack, a girl's shout beckoned both Megaman and the doctor to stop. "Megaman, please stop. My father isn't really evil, Dr. Wily kidnapped me and forced my father to fight you. Please don't hurt him." Finally reunited with his daughter, Dr. Cossack suddenly found no reason to continue battling Megaman.
But just as everything seemed alright, Dr. Wily warped into the arena and immediately disowned Protoman after his betrayal and challenged Megaman with a threat. Apparently, Dr. Wily didn't die from that explosion after Gamma's defeat and he manipulated Dr. Cossack into helping him in exchange for Cossack's daughter Kalinka's safety.
But because Protoman saved Kalinka from Dr. Wily's clutches, at least Cossack promises Megaman that he will do whatever he can to help him in his battle to stop Dr. Wily. But with Dr. Wily ready to unleash his reconstructed army of robot masters, Megaman without hesitation heads over to the castle fortress Kalinka was held captive in to stop him. Can he be able to stop Wily and bring peace back to Earth?
