Incredible Close-Up Encounter With Humpback Whales

Wild Hawaii Ocean Adventures were running a whale watching trip on January 23 when they encountered some amazing humpback species off the coast of Hawai’i. It turned out the whales were the ones doing the watching, as once the boat’s engines were turned off, they approached the boat and stayed for almost an hour. This video shows the amazing animals popping up from the surface to observe their human visitors.According to the tour group, all relevant guidelines from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration were observed during WHOA’s interaction with the whales.
