London's Red Bus Crashes Into Tree, Loses Roof

London is known for many sights and attractions, but the big red buses are one of the most recognized symbols of the city. On Monday, one of the iconic buses struck a tree and as a result of the accident, the roof was ripped right off the bus.

On Monday, one of those buses struck a tree and as a result of the accident, the roof was ripped right off the bus.

Photos show a portion of the roof on the ground and the other tip of it resting against the back end of the bus. The top of the vehicle was left entirely open.

Police officers, paramedics and firefighters were dispatched to the scene after the crash. A London Ambulance Service spokesperson commented, "We treated five patients. We treated two patients for facial injuries...We treated two patients for minor injuries, they were not taken to hospital. We treated another patient for a knee injury."
