Jacobson recommends removing Cuba from terrorism list

US Assistant Secretary of State for the Western Hemisphere Roberta Jacobson reported that she has sent a recommendation to President Barack Obama to remove Cuba from the list of countries that sponsor terrorism. She also said that while in Havana she met with dissidents, some of whom agree others who do not with the recent US policy decisions to normalize relations between the two countries. Jacobson added that a second round of conversations would be held within the next few weeks and that before end of year new embassies could be functioning in the respective capitals.
