Mexico struggles to live up to economic expectations

Despite President Enrique Pena Nieto's optimism, the Mexican economy only grew 1.9% in 2014, almost half of what had been expected. Poverty and inequality numbers did not fare well either, as experts feel three important factors contributed to the economic slowdown: a fall in international oil prices, a weakening peso against the dollar, and the government's loss of credibility in the eyes of investors. teleSUR
