Stolen Car Returned Almost 30 Years Later

In 1985, 17 year-old Lynda Alsip bought her first car, a 1967 Green Ford Mustang. She’d worked all summer at a grocery store, and with a little help from her dad saved up the $800 asking price. Unfortunately for Lynda, barely a year later, someone stole the ’67 Mustang from outside her apartment complex in Salinas, California. Lynda assumed she’d never see her beloved first car again, but just last month she got a call from the California Highway Patrol. They'd found her car.
