Congress ready to battle Obama

Congress returns this week - bracing for a big battle with the President.

Republicans will control both the House and the Senate for the first time in Barack Obama's presidency... setting up clashes on everything from health care to energy to the size of government.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) U.S. SENATOR MITCH MCCONNELL, SENATE MAJORITY LEADER, SAYING:

"First item up in the new Senate will be the Keystone XL pipeline."

Bolstered by its largest House majority since the late 1920's, the GOP says it also plans quick action on immigration, and repealing or reforming the affordable care act.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) U.S. PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA SAYING:

"If Republicans seek to take health care away from people who just got it, they will meet stiff resistance from me."

Beginning Wednesday, the President will travel to Michigan, Arizona and Tennessee to propose new policies on home ownership, college education, and jobs... ahead of his State of the Union addre
