Amateur video purports to show Kurdish fighters continuing their pitched battles against Islamic State militants.
Kurdish forces have reportedly taken about 70 percent of Kobani out of the hands of Islamic State, which has spent months besieging this town on the Turkish border.
Despite recent losses, video claims to show Islamic State fighters in Kobani during a lull in the fighting, secure in their ability to go on.
(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) UNIDENTIFIED ISLAMIC STATE FIGHTER, SAYING:
"Brothers here have food, tea and all that they wish for. Thanks to God, warplanes are flying above us and monitor our whereabouts, but we don't care; and we ask God to increase our determination until we win or die."
