More bodies of AirAsia victims return to relatives

Indonesian police identified three more AirAsia crash victims on Friday (January 2) whose remains were due to be handed over to their grieving families later in the day.

One of the three was an AirAsia flight attendant.

Officials have said 22 bodies have now been recovered.

Bad weather and heavy seas have been hampering the search and rescue since flight QZ8501 disappeared on December 28.

A specialist multinational team armed with acoustic equipment was due arrive at the suspected crash site of a sunken AirAsia jet off Borneo on Friday, bolstering the search for the plane's black box flight recorders.
