Times Square ball drops on 2015, and the clean-up begins

That big moment finally came...
...as Auld Lang Syne reverberated over the cheers in Times Square, 2015 began in what felt like the center of the world.
The city pulled out all the stops...and that meant quite a clean-up job once the people cleared out.
Crews hit the 20-block radius where the celebration took place almost immediately after it finished.
They cleared out about 50 TONS of garbage...one ton of which was confetti.
It's a big job someone has to do...so that 2015 gets off to a clean, orderly start.
