Search resumes for AirAsia victims

Coffins carrying the remains of more victims of the AirAsia crash in Indonesia arrive in Surabaya.

They're being taken to a hospital there for formal identification.

So far only about eight bodies have been found.

Search team officials said they were hoping to resume full-scale operations on Thursday off the coast of Borneo.

A small spell of fine weather on Thursday has ended, giving way to rising seas which have hampered the search from the start.

The weather conditions have again dashed hopes that divers on standby to search underwater would at last be able to go to work.

They're waiting to investigate a large dark object spotted by sonar up to 50 metres down on the sea bed.

If it's the wreck of the plane they'll be looking to retrieve the flight recorders.
