North Koreans remember death of Kim Jong Il

North Koreans placed flowers at shrines and memorials around the capital Pyongyang earlier this week to remember the death of former leader Kim Jong Il.

Service personnel, children and others visited statues of the former leader.

Late last week, U.S. officials said North Korea was responsible for a massive cyber attack against Sony Pictures which prompted the company to cancel the release of a satirical movie about assassinating the current leader Kim Jong Un.

North Korea has denied any involvement in the cyber attack and threatened 'grave consequences' if the U.S. makes good on it's promise to respond to the attack.
