Cuban and the United States officially renew diplomatic relations

At noon, Cuban President Raul Castro in sync with US President Obama made announcements in their respective countries that diplomatic relations between Cuba and the United States have been restored. The Cuban leader noted, however, that the economic and trade blockade was still in place and must be lifted.
