Vintage! Opel Diplomat V8 Coupe | Drive it!

The launch of the Diplomat V8 back in 1964 was Opel's post-war attempt to re-enter the luxury car market. The coupe was its top-of-the-line vehicle.Under the hood is a 5.4-literengine that put out 170 kW. The Diplomat Coupe looks like American cars of the time. It's a land yacht with an egg-crate radiator grille and plenty of chrome. But in comparison to the tailfins of the 1950s, the Diplomat's design seems relatively straightforward and sober.
