Malaysia East Coast Cross-States Fishing Expedition 2011

Went for long journey on March 2011, from Johor to Pahang to Terengganu, cross-states expedition. First stop at Cherating and found a undisturbed beach, quite and peaceful. Decided to tried some fishing there. Set up one rod which's my Loomis & Franklin 10 footer Spinning Reel Casting Rod, it's been with me for almost 15 years and still served me well.

The session ends with nothing caught so I headed off to the next destination.

Came across this place called Kemasik, very beautiful place, clean beach, mixing with huge rocks, clear blue sea. due to the wind and the wave were quite strong there, didn't do any fishing here.

Found this place at Kijal. a abandoned jetty formally utilized by Star Cruise, a well known Sight-seeing cruise operator. When i set my foot on the beach, the sand is so fine and clean, the sea bed is deep as you can tell by the scale of the wave coming inwards. Next to it is a Protection Zone for Turtle.

Spent the whole afternoon there, but only managed to get a small 500g Chermin fish, a type of Pomfret, the fish was released as it's too small to keep.

Lost almost all of my video clips on this trip due to memory cards faulty, managed to trim a very short clip of Kemansik beach. I came back on the same place in 2012 and 2013. which will be featured in the next video. Thank for watching.
