Even as Vijay is busy with the shooting of his film with Chimbudevan, the social media was abuzz with rumours that Vijay's 60th film will be directed by KV Anand. A frivolous tweet by a Twitter user, who had posted a screenshot of an image resembling KV Anand's Twitter profile, was what triggered the rumours.
The screenshot read, "I am happy to announce that my next film is respectively #Vijay60 - a great tale of action and romance." When the matter got out of hand, KV Anand reacted. He wrote on his social networking page, "This is a prank and a fake design. And he deleted it later. zoom & check the favourites, they r Whites & Chinese." This post was later deleted by the director himself.
So, what had happened? Talking to Times of India, KV Anand explains, "Clearly someone had photoshopped my social media account and posted this piece of false information. I decided to intervene when this was getting out of hand. I share a great relationship with Vijay and have worked with him in Nerukku Ner. As this allegation has been levelled using my name, I had to clear the air. So, I clarified on my page that it was a prank and fake design. This led to the person deleting the original post."
Mysteriously KV Anand too, deleted his post a few hours later. "Because of this, there was a war of words breaking out on my profile between the fans of Ajith and Vijay. I respect both stars and we are good friends. I do not want this to be a cause of concern, which is why I deleted my post."
The bottom line though, still remains that KV will not be doing Vijay 60 as of now. "Once I have a script for Vijay, I will surely approach him,"says the director.
