The founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM), Mr. Altaf Hussain said that the physically and mentally retired persons needed especial attentions in our society.
In a statement issued on the occasion of “International Day of Persons with Disability,” from London Secretariat, MQM Chief said that people, who treated disabled persons as burden, were themselves suffered moral and mental impiety. He said that treating disabled with love and kindness was moral obligation of all.
Mr. Hussain appreciated those people, who had been working to make disabled persons asset to the society and helping them to rely on themselves. He said MQM also striving hard to make those persons to be valuable for the society and raised the voice for their fundamental right.
He said that “International Day of Persons with Disability” was being regularly observed but they were deprived of government’s support. He said that such deprivation of the disabled persons should be condemned. He also demanded Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to enforce the law and provide fundamental rights to the disabled persons.
