Ukraine braces itself for a difficult 2015 as parliament votes in a new government

Ukraine’s parliament has voted in a new governmentt as the country’s prime minister warned of an even more difficult year ahead .
Arseniy Yatsenyuk’s new cabinet has foreign technocrats in key financial roles and the return of the previous foreign and defence ministers, signalling no major change in policy with regards to the rebellious east.
“I am sure that we will gain what millions of Ukrainians are now dreaming about. Our mission is complicated, it is a historic mission. However, historic responsibility in its turn gives historic chances. We have a chance to create new Ukraine. We will use this opportunity, we will achieve our goals.” said Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk
Natalie Jaresko at Finance is one of three foreign -born ministers who have quickly given up their duel citizenship.
According to Ukraine’s president financial issues will dominate the forthcoming parliamentary term and Ukraine could benefit from foreign expertise.
The Ukrainian economy is in a critical state, however Kyiv has been offered billions of dollars in aid by international lenders but only if it carries out economic reforms.
