David LaChapelle on ditching celebrity to criticise consumer culture

He’s been dubbed the "Fellini of photography", having immortalised some of the world’s biggest stars - from Michael Jackson to Paris Hilton, Elton John and Lady Gaga - with his subversive and colourful pictures.
But in his latest exhibition, American photographer David LaChapelle ditches fashion and celebrity for industrial landscapes, using scale models to explore the impact of oil production on our society and environment.
