East Ukraine rebels request UN peacekeepers

Rebels in East Ukraine have requested the presence of United Nations International Peacekeeping Forces after several civilian deaths in recent days. The Ukrainian government continues to shell the pro-Russian separatist region of Donetsk. On Tuesday, two people were killed and eight injured when a passenger bus was hit by an artillery shell. Although both sides of the conflict signed a ceasefire agreement in September, agressions have not ceased and nearly 1,000 people have died in fighting since the agreement was signed. teleSUR
