Now Tina Turner is marking another milestone, her 75th birthday.
The legendary soul and rock singer will celebrate the special birthday on Wednesday, November 26.
Turner, known for songs like "Private Dancer" and "What's Love Got To Do With It", was born in Tennessee in 1939.
She enjoyed huge success in the late 1960s and early 1970s performing with her husband, Ike Turner.
But the couple divorced in 1978 after a stormy marriage in which she was reportedly beaten.
She then launched her solo career in the 1980s to international acclaim.
Turner retired from performing after a sold-out farewell tour, which ended in 2009, and became a Swiss national in 2013.
