Floods triggered by heavy rains caused wide-spread damage and traffic disruptions in Israel and Palestinian territories on Sunday (November 16).

In the West Bank district of Jericho, rivers swelled following an overnight downpour

Two Palestinian workers in the West Bank settlement of Elkana suffered injuries when a construction site they were working at was hit by lightning, an Israeli website said.

Flooding also hit an impoverished caravan neighborhood in Khuzaa village, east of Khan Younis, Gaza, where hundreds of Palestinians displaced by seven weeks of war between Israel and Hamas in July and August, have been temporarily accommodated.

In Israel, a number of main routes were paralyzed by long traffic jams and several roads were swamped, Israeli media reported.
