The Academy hands out honorary Oscars

The three recipients of Honorary Oscars -- Maureen O'Hara, Hayao Miyazaki and Jean-Claude Carriere--- as well as Harry Belafonte who was honored with the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, pick up their hardware at the sixth annual Governors Awards.

Belafonte gave an electric acceptance speech challenging the heavy-hitters in the room.

73-year-old Miyazaki from Japan has directed 11 animated features, which is more than anyone else in history, and expressed his appreciation for his great 'luck' in life.
