"We are just running to save our lives" - man fleeing Nigeria town

Thousands fleeing for their lives in Nigeria as Boko Haram militants seize a town in Northeast Nigeria.

Witnesses say the Islamists militant group stormed the town of Mubi last week -- killing dozens of people.

This man left four daughters behind.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) RESIDENT OF MUBI, SAIDU UMARU, SAYING:

"They're firing all over the mountain, all the place, so we are just running to save our lives."

Witnesses also said the insurgents robbed banks, burned down the main market, and sacked the palace. One saw them kill a university lecturer and his entire family.

As they flee the violence, finding a safe place is a new challenge with refugee camps running out of room.
