Honduras: new project launched to aid garbage collectors

A new project to process solid waste has been launched outside the city of Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Financed by Mexican investors, it will aid 15,000 garbage collectors and their families and extend to three provinces. The waste collected will be processed and shipped as raw material to China and the garbage collectors will receive double their normal payment and work half the amount of time they normally put in.
