Erdogan says IS fight focusing too much on Kobani

Kurdish supporters voice dissent as Turkish President Tayipp Erdogan meets with French President Francois Hollande.

At a news conference Erdogan says the coalition combating Islamic State is focusing too much on the Syrian town of Kobani near the Turkish border.

(SOUNDBITE) (Turkish) TURKISH PRESIDENT, TAYYIP ERDOGAN, SAYING:

"We only talk about Kobani which is on the Turkish border and where there is almost no one left because we have already taken in nearly 200,000 people who have left Kobani. And in Kobani at the moment there is almost no one left, there are only 2,000 people. Why constantly attack the town of Kobani? It's difficult to understand that approach. That's why I wondered why the coalition forces haven't wanted to operate in other Syrian territories. Why has there not been another reaction to Islamic State in other territories?"

Turkey has absorbed hundreds of thousands of refugees from Kobani in
