Portuguese version of bullfighting during the Capeia Arraiana festival

"The Capeia Arraiana festival which was recently announced as Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage, is basically the rural Portuguese version of bullfighting, distinguished by the use of a special instrument built and used especially for the ritual, called a Forcão which is a huge wooden triangle made of heavy oak with 2 fork shape logs on its sides. The whole purpose of it is to harass the bull during the festival, tire him up so it will be easier to brutally ground him at the end of this ""fight"".

Six bulls in each village are forced into this violent oppression every festival. Six bulls and one calf, as in the middle of the show, a juvenile Capeia with a juvenile forcão is conducted, to the cheers and encouragement screams of the proud mothers and fathers. The future oppressors are being trained from an early age.
