Sting launches musical, McConaughey premieres "Interstellar"

Sting has added Broadway composer to his resume with the official opening of his new musical "The Last Ship." The singer has brought his childhood upbringing to the stage with a story about a ship yard, its workers and the residents who make up the town of Wallsend. The production is centered around a sailor who returns home after 15 years.
Matthew McConaughey walked a red carpet in Los Angeles for the premiere of his new movie, "Interstellar." In the film, McConaughey plays a space explorer, looking for a new planet for humanity to call home. Joining him at the premiere were his co-stars Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain. "Interstellar" opens on November 07.
Marcia Strassman has died. The actress is best known for her role on the popular 1970's television comedy, "Welcome Back Kotter." She also appeared opposite Rick Moranis, playing his wife in the "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" film franchise. She had been battling breast cancer. She was 66.
