Twilight Sparkle struggles with her new title of "Princess", but when her crown is stolen by a pony, later revealed to be Sunset Shimmer, a former student of Celestia, Twilight must follow her through a mirror into an alternate world to retrieve it. Along the way, she meets some very familiar friends, although it seems there has been a fracturing of the friendship between them of late. Can Twilight convince them to come together again and help her win back her crown through the magic of friendship, or will it be lost to Sunset Shimmer's evil hands forever?
