Mexico: Guerrero governor Angel Aguirre resigns

Angel Aguirre, the embattled governor of the Mexican state of Guerrero, announced his resignation today. Guerrero is the state where six students were killed and 43 kidnapped and still missing following a September 26 police attack Aguierre made the announcement after losing support within his party, the Party of the Democratic Revolution, which was under huge public pressure and from massive demonstrations throughout the country and internationally.
