Total boss death: five held by police, airport chiefs quit

Five Moscow airport workers are being held by Russian police over the plane crash that killed Total CEO Christophe de Margerie and three other people.
Snowplough driver Vladimir Martynenko has said that he lost his bearings due to bad weather and was unaware that he had strayed onto the runway, leading to the crash.
But prosecutors have pointed to alcohol.
Russian Investigative Committee Spokesman Vladimir Markin told reporters that Martynenko’s medical examination “showed that he had 0.06 percent alcohol in his blood,” twice the legal limit for driving in Russia.
The Total boss and three aircraft crew members were killed when their plane hit the snowplough at Vnukovo airport.
Vnukovo CEO Andrei Dyakov and his number two, Sergei Solntsev have resigned, according to a statement from the airport.
